AAMC393) Australia 1931 Long Registered Experimental Airmail flown by Charles Kingsford Smith, Subiaco WA to Stanley Gibbons London. Bears 2d, block of 4 x 3d & vertical pair 6d Kingsford Smith, all cancelled by cds's of Subiaco 17 AP 31 to makle 2/2d. Reverse bears Perth registered cds's of the following day. Neat attractive cover, with a little aging. Price $110
AFC371) Australia 1931 Registered Official envelope for 1st All Australian Airmail service. Bears horiz. pair of 6d Brown Airmail ovpt. OS plus ½d Orange & 3d Blue KGV heads & 1½d Sturt, to make 1/5d, all cancelled by Telegraph Office, Geelong Vic. cds's of 19NO31 (2 days after the issue of the 6d) Neat typed address cover, reverse bears Melbourne registered cds of the same date. PNG367) New Guinea 1932-34 Undated birds overprinted ‘Airmail’ 3½d Aniline carmine with ‘Post Office/16AP36/WAU’ cds also with Australian 2d Cable with ‘HAY/3AP36/N.S.W.’ cds on Flight cover addressed to Hay which appears to have been carried on the Adelaide to Wau via Hay (NSW) flight by N. Brearley and E.J.Stephens, AAMC P98, with typed ‘PER FAVOUR OF/MAJOR BREARLEY/HAY – WAU’. The Wau arrival stamps on front and back are dated ‘16AP36’ whereas the AAMC indicates the covers carried on this flight were cancelled on arrival in Wau on the 17th of April 36, interesting and unusual cover, Cat $450 for the Adelaide – Wau flight, however this appears to be a Hay – Wau – Hay Boomerang cover which is unlisted in the AAMC, Price $499
