Terrific lot of World on and off paper mixtures, sorted into countries as received from Melbourne Church group.
Absolutely unpicked by us, mainly large and where on paper, well trimmed single thickness. Early to recent these are a great way to fill some gaps. Not a huge amount of duplication that we can see. In the bags as received all weights are approximate to the nearest 5g.
Sold by weight, approx. 3500 – 4000 per kg in the on paper, and 12,500 – 15,000 per kg for off paper. The on paper are more likely to be recently collected.

CEA1) Cook Is., inc. Aitutaki, Niue & Penrhyn plus a few Ross Dep. on leaves in Black Ring Binder. Early to modern mint & used with many nice thematics. Mostly in complete sets or minisheets. Very clean lot of about 850 stamps. Well worth 25c a stamp. $210
CEA2) Czechoslovakia, great collection 1918 - 1992 on thick pile of leaves in Grey Arch Lever File. Mostly used with a few mint. High degree of completion, maybe as much as 80% with lots of engraved printing stamps ad many, many sets. 2250 - 2500 here, appear all different. Clean and attractive, at 15c a stamp this is a steal! $359
CEA3) Bulgaria 1879 - 1998 in as new $90 Blue Lighthouse 64 black page stockbook. Organised by year, looks to be about 500 all different here. Most are cto with many sets and good thematics. Let's say $45 for the stockbook and 20c each for the stamps, very good value at $145

CEA13) WILD World Mix. One of the most amazing World off paper mixes we have seen. Very early to quite modern, mostly postally used, a few mint and a very few Australia. Rich in large & commemorative issues and a staggering variety. Little in the way of Australia that we can see. challenge anyone to produce something better. 12,500 to 15,000 per kg. Under 4c per stamp in the 1kg lot. 100g for $59, 250g for $139, 500g for $265, 1kg for $495
CEA14) 1953 - 2020 onwards. Almost the full QEII reign represented here plus a few earlier. Great Britain, just arrived from UK Charity. All on single close clipped paper, with many, many high values up to £5 noted and some of the very recent digital barcoded stamps also in the overall mix. Under 8c per stamp in the 500g lot. Around 6000 - 6500 to the kg. $87.50 per 100g, $199 per 250g, $395 per 500g.
CO10) Australia KGV Heads, mostly bundles of 100. CEA7) NZ 'Health' stamps complete collection 1929-1978 Handy lot, on a set of Gibbons ring 22 pages with interleaves. Condition varies a tad as usual on these - the key 1931 'Smiling Boys' are fresh mint hinged as most of this collection is, a few scattered used noticed. Huge catalogue/retail. Rarely available as a complete lot. Price $369
CEA8) QV 1880s Victoria NAISH Newspaper Wrappers SPECIMEN set. Possibly UPU Distribution. Rare unsevered SHEETS OF 4 with roulettes between each of this elusive issue overprinted 'SPECIMEN' for BOTH values - seldom seen thus. EIGHT wrappers here. Usual bit of edge wear after 120 years, but fresh and extremely rare in uncut sheets. SINGLE and badly defective Victoria SPECIMEN wrappers seen on eBay at $300 EACH from experienced sellers! CAP5) Runs of MUH New Issues 2005-2021. A collector was buying new Issues from Max Stern in recent years from Falklands, British Antarctic Territory, South Georgia, British Virgin Islands, Tristan Da Cunha, Ascension and Bahamas etc. This is era that almost no dealers bought stock, and lots of collectors stopped buying New Issues in year 2000, hence most collectors do not have these, and neither do dealers! All still perfect MUH in the original new issue glassines.

CMS10) Australia decimal 1st Day covers 1967 - 1991. Massive new issue dealer's stock of official mainly unaddressed covers in 4 giant brown padded ring binders on approx. 200 Hagner or similar stockpages, some double sided. Binders and pages alone would have cost around $450 - $500 new. Estimate 750 - 1000 covers, from 1 - 10 of each. Much better spotted like Living Together sets, booklet panes, ATM triangulars x4, $10 Gardens x 4, Minisheets, Se-tenant strips and blocks, some AAT plus just a few Aerogrammes, Maxi-cards and PSE's. CMS12) Australia Carton Lot Decimal FDC's 1974 - 2007 approx. Mostly Official Post Office unaddressed covers. Huge variety, some duplication but very wide variety. Great to soak off for fine used sets or just collect as is. Got to be worth 60c each. Weighs nearly 3kg. Approx 500 for $295, half lot for $150. 3 lots available.

David Gill was one of the most remarkable astronomers in the history of Southern African Astronomy. When Gill took over, the Observatory was outdated. He set out to modernise the facility and when he retired, the Cape Observatory was one of the finest and best equipped observatories in the world. Gill pioneered astro photography and did an incredible amount of work towards establishing photographic catalogues of the Southern Sky. He was also a remarkable person outside of the field of astronomy. On 18 May 1869, at age 26 in a time when photography was still in its experimental stage, Gill took a picture of the Moon. It can safely be said that it was this achievement – the photograph was an excellent one, even by later standards – which drew attention to the young amateur and started him off on the career, which was to bring him international fame, and provide astronomers all over the world with a priceless new research tool.” A very rare survivor, price $295

(The Henry Bull & Co Building was erected on the corner of Market and York Streets in the city in 1904. Beautifully crafted with an Edwardian style facade, it was one of the tallest buildings in Sydney at the time - only the 56 metre Hotel Australia was taller. It was built with 6 storeys to a height of 53 metres to its corner copper cupola - a water turret - which emulated the dome of the Queen Victoria Building across the road. In 1913, during a renovations, it had 4 floors added to take it to the 45m height limit in place.
Like many warehouse buildings of its era, the Henry Bull Building was timber frames with a crafted stone base and brick and stone facework non the upper levels. Twin stone kangaroos stood over the corner entrance. The building was demolished in 1972 to make way for St Martins Tower.
Henry Bull & Co. was incorporated as a limited liability company of 28 Milton Street, London, UK. as Australian merchants and manufacturers of flannels and blankets at the Challenge Mills, Liverpool NSW. The mill was established by Henry Bull & Co on the site of the paper mill of Collingwood Paper Works. It remained operational until 1975. Part of the old Challenge Woollen Mill still exists on Shepherd Street, Liverpool.
